SuperVitality helps rugby star in fight tougher than any on-pitch battle

Former England captain and Rugby World Cup winner Lewis Moody was used to some tough battles on the pitch but none were to prove harder than coping with bowel disease.

Lewis Moody was given the nickname 'Mad Dog' during his rugby-playing days, such was his fearless commitment to club and country.

Yet, at the same time, unbeknown to his team-mates, friends and coaches, the England flanker was fighting a very different foe.

In 2005 Moody was diagnosed with an inflammatory bowel disease called ulcerative colitis. "It was during the middle of my playing career so I then spent a number of years trying to figure out how to manage that,” he said.

Moody decided to strip his diet right back to alleviate his symptoms, and then reintroduce different foods and supplements to work out what his body could tolerate.

Why join SuperVitality?

“I’ve tried a lot of supplement brands in my time and the one brand I found that works for me is SuperVitality. Whether it be the natural ingredients or the lack of additional fillers, it works for me. That’s the reason I joined the company and that’s the reason I am the face of the Elite Performance Range,” said Moody.

SuperVitality is a clean sports supplement brand with a difference – supplements and snacks made simple, with the aim of overcoming the misconceptions and intimidation associated with most other supplement brands on the market.
